We're working to apply the electrochromic, auto-dimming technology housed in a Gentex rearview mirror to other large area dimmable devices. Head-up displays, moon roofs, privacy panels sidelites — if it's glass, we can dim it.

Glass as a detailed styling element? Electrochromic technology applies here, too. For a driver, dimmable glass could provide the much-needed contrast for head-up displays or transparent windscreen visors. Dimmable camera sensor shrouds can hide forward-facing sensors while optimizing light transmission for enhanced functionality. Opportunities for small, dimmable details are endless.
